Meet our Dance Instructors!

Megan Loiz


Megan Loiz, the owner and founder of Dream Dance Camp, has been training for 19 years. Megan was a member of Kicks Dance Center for 14 years where she learned tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, and hip hop, but she has also tried many other styles. She has taken many Broadway workshops, Rockette workshops, and was taught by a Rockette outside of Kicks for three years. She is a rising senior at the University of New Haven as a Criminal Justice Investigative Services major. Megan is an instructor at Connecticut Dance with a focus on teaching ages 2 to 8. She is very excited to be holding this camp for its third year and can not wait to put on another fantastic show!

Thamar Kalangala


Thamar Kalangala is a junior at Southern Connecticut State University, majoring in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. She has had a big passion for dance and the arts since she was a child. She danced ballet as a kid and continued hip hop through high school and into College at Sacred Heart University. Now, being on a dance team at Southern Connecticut State University, her passion is continuing to grow. She is really excited to join Dream Dance Camp and share her passion with the campers! 


Sophie LaBella


Sophie LaBella, the co-director of Dream Dance Camp, ​​has been dancing for 17 years, beginning at Kicks Dance Center in Shelton, CT in the styles of tap, ballet, and jazz. She is a junior at Loyola University Maryland pursuing a degree in Writing & Journalism. Sophie is part of the Loyola Dance Company, where she performs with the hip hop, musical theatre, and tap groups. While she isn’t working as a counselor this summer and working as an intern, she is still involved behind the scenes with Dream Dance Camp, and is super excited to be able to continue helping this wonderful camp run for another summer!


Erin Mulroy


Erin Mulroy ​​is an incoming senior at Shelton High School. She has had a passion for dance since she was little and has always enjoyed watching ballet shows. She has plenty of experience with young children as she has been working with them for nearly 8 years. In the future, she hopes to dance more and inspire others to do so too. She is so excited to come back to Dream Dance Camp for another year and meet new campers!


Nora Carroll


Nora Carroll goes to the University of Connecticut with a major in Political Science, going into the Secondary Education Department. Nora was a dancer for 15 years at Kicks Dance Center, danced for Bunnell High School’s Dance Team, and still dances recreationally. Nora has been a part of Dream Dance Camp since its opening. She loves to educate children on how to dance and strives to give other children the love and passion she has had for dance since she could walk.


Brooke Uleano

Brooke Uleano is a junior at Winthrop University in South Carolina, majoring in Finance and double minoring in Entrepreneurship and Human Nutrition. She has been passionate about dance since she was a child as she danced many styles growing up such as Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Dance Hall, and Reggaeton. She used to dance at Double Up Dance Studio before entering college. She is super excited to join Dream Dance Camp as she is looking forward to sharing her love for dance with her campers! 

Dardielle Exantus

Dardielle Exantus is a senior at Southern Connecticut State University where she majors in Health Care Studies with a concentration in Speech-Language Pathology. She keeps a balance between being a college track athlete and a student. She’s been dancing all her life but mainly focuses on hip-hop. She’s been choreographing since the age of 13 when she was the choreographer for her middle school dance team back in 2014, and later in life created a choreography business for Sweet 16’s in Highschool. Now, she’s part of an international dance group known as The Karizma Dancers, on the African Dance Association Dance Group in college. She has also danced with the CCA Dancers for a season where she worked on being more proficient at remembering dance choreography and presenting it with ease. This is her first year teaching with us and we are excited to see the contribution she brings to our team!
